End Times Events

Part 1

If you wonder what is on the horizon when it comes to Bible events and prophetic markers of time, this list will give you a reasonable list of events that remains to be fulfilled, and from all understanding and analysis, these events have NOT YET occurred. The next event to occur will be the Rapture of the Bride (Church). Nothing in the list below precedes the Rapture of the Bride (Church).

  1. The Rapture of born-again Christians and Messianic Jews who have come to believe in Jesus Christ as their Savior. This includes the removal of the Restrainer, the Holy Spirit. –(1st Corinthians 15:51-52; 1st Thessalonians 4:16-17, in addition to many supporting passages.

  2. The apostasy of the remainder of Christendom –(2nd Thessalonians 2:3, The Greek “Hea Apostasia” refers to “The” Departure, meaning a specific stand-alone event. In the Greek text the definitive article: “Hea” or “The” precedes the word “Apostasia”. The English KJV Bible watered the meaning down to appease Roman Catholic influence at a time when Rome was seeking to restore control over the Church of England. Modern translations use the term “falling away” and this may suggest a possible dual meaning of the text. Greek scholar Kenneth Weust notes that of the 15X the word “Apostasia” occurs in scripture, 11X of those occurrences definitely mean “departure”.

  3. The revealing of the 144,000 Hebrew evangelists –(Revelation 7:4). The text states that they are from the 12 tribes of Israel. Over the years, many have tried to claim otherwise, as in the case of some cults, particularly Jehovah’s Witnesses.

  4. The gathering together of ten powerful nations –(Revelation 17:12-13; Daniel 9:26).

  5. The rise of the Antichrist and the False Prophet –(Daniel 9:24-27; Daniel 7:8; Revelation 13, and many other supporting passages).

  6. The deluding influence sent by God upon unbelievers –(2nd Thessalonians 2:11).

  7. The signing of the Middle East peace treaty – and the beginning of the “Seven” year Tribulation –(Daniel 9:27).

  8. The groundbreaking of the Third Jerusalem Temple –(Daniel 9:27).

  9. The “peaceful” expansion of the Antichrist’s Empire throughout the first half of the Tribulation will be a period of promised peace. It is determined by inductive exposition of the text. His power is hypnotic throughout the first 42 months. The foundation for the coming One World Religion has been on the pope’s agenda since he was elected to office. Events held during the month of September, 2016 have exalted this goal and the pope’s plan to unify the world religions. The pope has huge plans for his “together again” theme, timed to the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation of Martin Luther and in late August of 2016, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America voted to hug, kiss, and make up by a vote of 931 to 9.

  10. 1/3rd of the world’s population will die in a nuclear war –(Revelation 9:15-19).

  11. The murder of post-Rapture Christians by the Apostate Church – referred to as the Harlot –(Revelation 13:14-15, 17:5).

  12. The completion of the Third Jerusalem Temple –(This is a given since it will already exist at the mid-point of the Seven Year Tribulation, or 42 months, 3-1/2 years, 1,260 days) –(Revelation 11:2-3, 12:6, 12:14, and 13:5).

  13. The decree by the False Prophet that all people are to make an image of the Antichrist –(Revelation 13:14-15).

  14. The murder of those who refuse to worship the Antichrist –(Revelation 13:10, 15-17; 14:12, 15:2, 16:2, 19:20, and 20:4). The “Mark” of the Beast is a given requirement of the worship of the Beast.

This list has been compiled and maintained over a twenty-year period and has been subject to intense study during that period of time. It was originally in chronological order but as key points were added, it became difficult to keep them in a perfect 100% chronological order. It is not intended to be a complete list by any measure. Instead it serves to provide an overview to illustrate for the reader that many events will take place AFTER the Rapture. For the most part, 90% of the Christian community has held to the traditional Roman Catholic view that there would be no Rapture of the born-again Bride (Church). A cursory scan of this list will tell that life is not going to be easy and that few will survive the horrors of the Tribulation of Daniel’s 70th week! Contrary to Pope Francis’s attack on Biblical Christianity, Jesus Christ death on the cross was not a failure, but in fact, a victory over sin and death. Jesus Christ is our “Blessed Hope” -(Titus 2:13)!

Over the past fifty years or so, I have studied world events and have witnessed the rise of a variety of elements pointing to what the Bible refers to as the One-World-Government. This new world order is made up of three elements:

The failure of the Christian community to grasp the prophetic aspects of the Bible has been confounded by church theology over the past 1900+ years. This is caused primarily because the church was infiltrated and overcome with errant theology from the Alexandrian school, home of Gnosticism, which was to become central in the Roman Institution. By the fourth century AD, Rome had suppressed the Antioch school and replaced it with what is known as “Covenant” theology. Later, following the Protestant Reformation, church theology evolved into “Covenant and Reformed” doctrines. The Roman Catholicism back then and the Roman Catholicism of today is not Christian, but it will become the one-world-religion of the Tribulation period. Revelation 13, 17, 18, and part of 19 is unquestionably about Mystery Babylon, the Mother of Harlots. Roman Catholicism plays a significant and primary role in the makeup of Mystery Babylon.

Journalist, Cliff Kincaid, authored a book, ‘Global Bondage: The UN Plan to Rule the World’. Today, it is out of print, but the author, himself a Roman Catholic, is openly critical of the institution and the present day pope. His book presents the grand plan for enslaving humanity through Catholic Jesuit “Liberation” theology and Catholic-Marxist-Socialism. Jesuits are the originators of the various modern day ideologies referred to as “isms” (i.e., Fascism, Communism, Socialism, and even Capitalism). They are mere instruments meant to achieve global enslavement of all humanity. All of these “isms” are built on the Hegelian Dialectic: “Thesis + Antithesis = Synthesis”. It can also be described by the term “Divide and Conquer”. In the world of business this overarching concept is known as “consensus management”, and is the product of the Austrian management guru Peter Drucker. Jesuit-controlled Vatican control the world on behalf of the European “Black Nobility’s” thirteen families.

Now, let’s turn to a matter of greater importance in the understanding of the Word of God. There are four or five different ways that prophecy is taught. Rather than go into all of them here, and they all have interpretation problems, there is only one of the five which has the fewest unresolved questions pertaining to the understanding of End Time events. This system is known as “Dispensationalism”. It understands the Bible as being Pre-Tribulational and Pre-Millennial in a number of ways. The “Dispensational” position holds to the “Golden Rule” of interpretation:

If the plain sense makes sense, don’t look for any other sense, lest you end up with nonsense.”

First and foremost, the “Dispensationalist” view holds to a literal understanding of Scripture. We presume that God wanted to give humanity a meaning that could be understood as clearly as possible so one can discover its basic truths. There are other grammatical and linguistics tools and devices that further enhance the explanation and understanding, but by and large “Dispensationalism” holds to the above “Golden Rule” of interpretation.

In order to understand and interpret the passages in Scripture that deal with end-times events, there are two things that must be clearly understood:

  1. A proper method of interpreting Scripture requires:

    1. A Scripture passage must be interpreted in a way that is consistent with its context. This means it is consistent with:

      1. The audience to which it is written

      2. Those it is written about

      3. Whom it is written by

        1. It is critical to know the author,

        2. Its intended audience,

        3. Its historical background of each passage one interprets

          1. The historical and cultural setting will often reveal the correct meaning of a passage.

    2. Scripture interprets Scripture. Often a passage will cover a topic or subject that is also addressed elsewhere in the Bible. It is important to interpret all of these passages consistently with one another.

    3. Passages must always be taken in their normal, regular, plain, literal meaning unless the context of the passage indicates that it is figurative in nature.

      1. A literal interpretation:

        1. Does not eliminate the possibility of figures of speech being used.

        2. It encourages the interpreter to not read figurative language into the meaning of a passage unless it is appropriate for that context. Figurative language means using figures of speech to be more effective, persuasive and impactful. Figures of speech such as metaphors, similes, allusions go beyond the literal meanings of the words to give the readers new insights.

        3. Never seek a “deeper, more spiritual” meaning than is presented.

          1. Spiritualizing or allegorizing a passage is dangerous because it moves the basis for accurate interpretation from Scripture to the mind of the reader.

            1. To impart a spiritual nature to.

            2. To invest with or treat as having a spiritual sense or meaning.

            3. http://encyclopedia.thefreedictionary.com/allegory

Allegory is a literary device in which characters or events in a literary, visual, or musical art form represent or symbolize ideas and concepts. Allegory has been used widely throughout the histories of all forms of art; a major reason for this is its immense power to illustrate complex ideas and concepts in ways that are easily digestible and tangible to its viewers, readers, or listeners. An allegory conveys its hidden message through symbolic figures, actions, imagery, and/or events. Allegory is generally treated as a figure of rhetoric; a rhetorical allegory is a demonstrative form of representation conveying meaning other than the words that are spoken.

            1. Although premillennialists read Revelation Rev. 20, where it refers to the meaning of the phrase 1,000 years, and the book of Revelation using normal interpretation, which recognizes figures of speech; the amillennialists and postmillennialists generally do not follow standard principles of hermeneutics.

            2. As an example of this rule, we turn to Revelation 20, where it states that the Millennium will be 1,000 years, not once but six (6X) times. The Greek word “chilia” or “chilioi” is very precise, it is the meaning of a number “1,000” and means just what it says in the English translation. It does not simply mean “a long time”, or “an infinite period”, or something that is elusive to the reader. There are other words to mean these terms. It means what it says and says what it means!

            3. There can be no objective standard of interpretation - A standard that is based on factual measurements, in the absence of a biased judgement or analysis. Amillennialism and Postmillennialism are deeply flawed and guilty in their lack of applying objective standard in interpretation of the Bible.

    1. Scripture arbitrarily becomes subject to each person’s own impression of what it means without the use of good exegetical principles. This is made clear in the following passage.

2nd Peter 1:20-21: “Knowing this first that no prophecy of the Scripture came into being of its own private interpretation. For prophecy was not borne at any time by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke being borne along by the Holy Spirit.”

Life Application New Testament Commentary:

2nd Peter 1:20-21 Peter wrote here of revelation, the source of all Scripture. One’s belief about revelation is foundational for faith. Christians must be able to rest on the infallibility of Scripture, or their faith is of no value. Hence Peter’s words, above all, you must understand that no prophecy in Scripture ever came from the prophets themselves. Perhaps the false teachers were denying Scripture by denying its divine origin, saying that the words were merely the writers’ interpretations and not God’s words. Scripture (specifically the Old Testament prophecies) did not originate with any man nor was it interpreted by the prophets themselves as they delivered the message. Peter reaffirmed the divine origin of Old Testament prophecy, that the Holy Spirit moved the prophets to speak from God. Scripture did not come from the creative work of the prophets’ own invention or interpretation. The same God who spoke to the disciples at the Transfiguration had spoken to the prophets, guiding them in their writings. God inspired the writers, so their message is authentic and reliable. God used the talents, education, and cultural background of each writer (they were not taking dictation); and God cooperated with the writers in such a way to ensure that the message He intended was faithfully communicated through the words they wrote. Through the Holy Spirit, God revealed His person and plan to certain believers, who wrote down His message for His people. The process of “inspiration” makes Scripture completely trustworthy because God was in control of its writing. The Bible’s words are entirely accurate and authoritative for our faith and for our lives. Through knowledge of the Scriptures, believers would be able to recognize and stand firm against false teaching; through the knowledge of the Scriptures, believers would have all the tools and guidance they would need to live for God.

  1. The distinction between Israel (the Jews) and the church (the body of all believers in Jesus Christ).

Applying these principles of biblical interpretation, it must be seen that Israel (Abraham’s physical descendants) and the church (all New Testament believers) are two distinct groups. It is crucial to recognize that Israel and the church are distinct because, if this is misunderstood, Scripture will be misinterpreted. Especially prone to misinterpretation are passages that deal with promises made to Israel (both fulfilled and unfulfilled). Such promises should not be applied to the church. Remember, the context of the passage will determine to whom it is being addressed to and will point to the most correct interpretation.
